folk dance
The course is focused on folk dances, for ladies only. This dance group performs at the temple, at Ganesh Utsav, Ramlila during the Vijayadashmi celebration, Vidya Vikas Annual day event, and at any other festivals as invited. The group also performs, outside the temple, for example, at the Diwali mela or the India day. Mostly the performance are semiclassical based, usually selected by theme. The songs selected are either devotional or light music. The attire is temple appropriate. |

My motivation to join was my passion for dancing and as a devotee of our Hindu temple since last 15 years of my stay here in dfw always wanted to be part of the organization and do something for our community.I am very grateful to VV to give me this opportunity. |
